I feel that Milton Glaser's, "I Love New York", logo was brilliantly thought up. This simple well known design is very eye-catching and will be iconic for years to come.
I've always sort of taken the "I Love New York" logo for granted, probably since it's everywhere. I have a new appreciation for it after I gained an understanding of the thought process Milton had behind designing the logo. I like how he explained it as being a puzzle people have to put together and how it makes the design really stick in their minds. cool stuff :)
okay so this is more about katrina's comment- i read it quickly without really reading it and where is says 'makes the design really stick in their minds. cool stuff :)' i swear i saw 'it makes me want to hit them with a stick' and assumed you were talking about the people who didn't give him royalties for the new york thing. then i went back, read it again, felt really stupid and thought i'd give you all a laugh. ;)
